Odds and Ends
Thank you to all of the families who came to Open House on Thursday night! It was wonderful getting a chance to meet all of you. I know the kids were proud of all of their hard work and could not wait to show you!
Next week we will be MAPS testing for the last time in third grade. Our class will be testing on Thursday and Friday. Please ensure that your child is getting a good night sleep, along with eating a healthy breakfast each and every morning!

A Look At Next Week
Reading: The students have been learning about the ingredients of mysteries along with words like suspect, detective, red herring, etc. that can be found while reading. We will continue working with mysteries next week.
English: Pen pal letters to the second graders have been sent! We will eagerly be waiting for their reply. Persuasive writing will be next.
Spelling: The pretest will be on Monday. If you child missed 2 or less, they will be in "challenge". All homework is due on Thursday and the test will be Friday.
Social Studies: We will continue learning about Egypt!
Science: We will be wrapping up Chapter 14. The test is on Thursday, May 8th. Study guides have been sent home.
Math: We will be finishing up studying Chapter 14 on geometry. The chapter test will be on May 19th. Study guides have been sent home.
