A LOOK AT NEXT WEEK:
*Reading/ELA: We are working on reading and writing our own fables. We are also working on nouns and wrote about what we are thankful with applying our knowledge of nouns: a person, place, and thing. We will be starting our next unit when we return from break, a study of culture and immigration and traditions. We begin with the story A Keeping Quilt.
The disguised turkeys looked amazing! The students did a great job persuading the farmer to save each one. They are display in the Fab Lab window being enjoyed by all who walk by.
*Spelling: New word sorts will be going home on Mon. 12/2. 3 activities and the test will be on 12/13.
*Science: We will continue our new science curriculum as we study traits and inheritance. We will begin this unit on 12/2.
*Mrs. Olsen's Math class: Unit 2 continues with work on multiplication strategies. Please have your child study their facts every night! There will be a short checkpoint on multiplication on 11/25. We will focus on 2's x facts the week of 12/2 with a graded fact test on 12/6.
Have a great weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!
