Week of 3/17

Odds and Ends: 

Happy St. Patty's Day! 

*Spring Pictures: Your child took home a spring picture packet this week. If you would like to keep any of the prints, please fill out the order form and send in the money or pay online. Please return any unwanted pictures or money by Wed. 3/19. Thank you for your cooperation!

*Scholastic Book Order: March book order is due on Fri. 3/21. Thank you!

Math: 11's multiplication and division test


A LOOK AT NEXT WEEK: 

*Reading: We will continue to work on our biography speeches and posters. The students will present their person to their classmates this week. Our next unit will be poetry.

*English: We will begin our final drafts of our narrative stories. Our next unit will be pronouns.

* Spelling: There will be no spelling due to the shortened week. Spelling will resume 3/24.

*Social Studies: We will focus on the rebuilding of Chicago and the World's Fair. A study guide was sent home this week. The open book quiz (Chicago Quiz II) will be on Tues. 3/25.

*Science: We are learning about the relationship between the moon and Earth. We will continue our study of the moon next week.

*Math: We will wrap up our study of ch 11: measurement. A study packet was sent home this weekend and your child was asked to take home their math workbook volume 2 to use to help study. We will focus on 11 multiplication and division facts this week. We will also begin ch. 9 with focuses on equations and properties.
