If your child has me for the Language Arts block (reading, english, and spelling), math, or science and social studies, you can check here to find out what we are doing in class. Thanks!

English: We will begin with Unit 1, which covers the four types of sentences. We will do daily work with various punctuation lessons as we work on our D.O.L.

Spelling: We will begin with List 1, words with a silent e. We will have a graded test on Friday.

Science: This week we started our unit on human bodies. We discussed the importance of our body systems working together like a team. We also learned about organs, tissues, and cells. We will focus on the skeletal system next.

Social Studies: We began our map unit this week. We will focus on directions and the compass rose.

Math: Math groups met for the first time this Friday. We will continue to meet next week as we work on place value, even and odd numbers, and 3,4,5 digit numbers.
